Thank you I never new that, well let me take a step back.
I knew they determined there intenisty on the Fujita scale through there wind speeds.
The Fujita scale and the Enhanced Fujita Scale rate tornadoes by damage caused. The Enhanced Fujita (EF) Scale was an upgrade to the older Fujita
scale, by expert elicitation, using engineered wind estimates and better damage descriptions. The EF Scale was designed so that a tornado rated on the
Fujita scale would receive the same numerical rating, and was implemented starting in the United States in 2007. An EF0 tornado will probably damage
trees but not substantial structures, whereas an EF5 tornado can rip buildings off their foundations leaving them bare and even deform large
I always thought the bigger the tornadoe, IE size of the funnel cloud also effected how it was rated. I always figured the larger the funnel cloud
the more powerful it would be.
Although the story is a couple of days old it is refered to in a current thread here on ATS
Theresa May insists snoopers vital to fight crime
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency has sold sensitive personal details of more than 7,000 drivers to a convicted criminal and his company
Agency chiefs knew that Observices Parking Solutions and boss Douglas Harris had been fined £29,850 after a court ruled it had been ‘recklessly
unfair’ to drivers last year – but they still sold on the personal details.
The Mail on Sunday can also disclose the DVLA has sold 4.85 million drivers’ names and addresses to parking enforcement firms in the past six
years at £2.50 a time – without checking if the companies’ use for the private information was legitimate.
We are literaley pawns, everything about us is given a value and it’s milked for all its worth.
And it seems that just about anyone can get there hands on your details.
I was recently sent a letter from a private company acting to claim loss on behalf of a client that they say was involved in an accident almost
2 years ago. There was no such incident.
I understand now why this letter came, I didn’t reply, but there will be many that do no doubt.
Back in 2008 captiva opened this thread
Government Department (DVLA) selling your information for £2.50
Unfortuntly he was the only poster on that occaision, but it was interesting to read what was wrote
Our own personal information, Name and Address is being sold for the grand total of £2.50!. The DVLA has the cheek to say they take data protection
very seriously and then they sell the information to unscrupulous private car park companies. “These companies set out to fleece people but the
tickets they issue are best off completely ignored or ripped up and chucked in the bin. “Their demands for payment are completely unenforceable but
the problem is that 99 per cent of people end up paying because they feel threatened.” My anonimity is important to me, I think this is an outrage
and will be letting the DVLA know first thing tomorrow morning.
Captiva’s worries then are still valid today

will then be able to start your own threads and additionally send receive messages to and from fellow ATS members.
Take some time to look around and orient yourself.
Normally this wouldn’t be of any intrigue to me however the one portion that piqued my ATS fancy enough to where I felt this article was post worthy
was this camera’s “specially modified IR filter” and “a sensor that’s been altered for the specifics of taking photos of space”.
Being that this camera is for the most part ($1500 USD), fairly affordable, as compared to having to purchase one’s own Hubble Telescope ($1.5
billion USD). That and the Nibiru followers seem to think that it can only be filmed or captured within the IR spectrum, perhaps now we will be able
to get some real photos…right?
The 60Da has a modified infrared filter as well as a sensor that has been adjusted to reduce noise over long exposures while increasing its
sensitivity to hydrogen alpha (sometimes known as H-alpha). There’s plenty of H-alpha floating around in space even though our eyes — and most
traditional digital camera sensors can’t see it. It usually plays a pretty pivotal role in those awesome images of the sun we’ve been seeing lately
that depict the wild solar storms and flares. The 60Da’s APS-C sensor is roughly three times more sensitive to H-alpha with some help from the
modified infrared filter. The final result is a 20-percent increase in transmittance of the hydrogen alpha line.
Since H-alpha is a biproduct of hydrogen atoms (this specific kind occurs when a hydrogen electron drops an energy level) it tends to have the most
dramatic visual effect in nebulas rich in that element. The visual spectrum line that’s created has a wavelength of 656.28nm, which falls into the
realm of reds, which is part of the reason you see so many striking space images in that shade.
It should only be a matter of time now before we will see some verifiable photographic proof posted on ATS of the illusive Brown Dwarf Star that is
creeping about our solar system.
Washington, April 3, 2012-The Occupy movement vowed for a renewal in the spring. Under the Occupy 2012 banner of the “American Spring,” the movement spearheaded the largest protest ever against the Environmental Protection Agency/EPA last Friday in Washington D.C.
Hundreds of demonstrators and two alpacas marched to the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters on Friday, the first day of a planned month long National Occupation of D.C. movement (dubbed NOWDC).
A multitude of speakers outside the EPA spoke for an hour on social causes ranging from District of Columbia statehood to justice for Trayvon Martin, the unarmed Florida teenager shot dead by a neighborhood watch volunteer on Feb. 26.
A consistent thread throughout the assembly was the demand for EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson to resign- The rally call was supported by charges that her agency did not treat employees properly or adequately protect the environment.
The OccupyEPA speakers and protestors also called for increased nuclear regulation; an end to the practices of hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, for oil and gas and manufacturing genetically modified organisms; and an end to housing regulations.
Scholar and Activist Noam Chomsky gives Occupy and OccupyEPA a vote of confidence- Calls the Occupy movement “Genuine”
Distinguished linguist, scholar, and activist Noam Chomsky, who has been in strong support of the Occupy movement, had this to say about OccupyEPA in a recorded video:
“It is a privilege to be able to endorse the launching of the 2012 U.S. occupation movement called the American Spring. As with the civil rights struggle, and other genuine popular movements, the American Spring provides all of us with an opportunity to become involved at the grassroots level and to challenge the right of the 1% to destroy the earth, foreclose on our homes, and undermine the well-being of the poor and oppressed today and future generations. They are counting on our silence and apathy. We should not grant them that lethal gift.
The Spring renewal of the Occupy Movement is being launched at the Environmental Protection Agency, which has a sordid history of discrimination and retaliation against whistleblowers, and policies that harm the poor and communities of color, a record that led Congress to pass the No FEAR Act. The events are extensively documented by Marsha Coleman-Adebayo, who spear-headed the struggle, in her book, No FEAR.
Over the past months, it has been impressive and heartening to see how people from all walks of life have joined the Occupy movement to engage in the struggle to free the country from corporate domination, government repression, and subordination to private power. We should not stand idly by in the face of this assault on basic values and rights, and the renewed Occupy Movement provides a framework to resist and overcome, working in our own communities and beyond.
We are the 99%.We have the chance to take our power back and to rescue the country, and the planet, from a grim fate.”

News Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012
News coverage of the movement has fallen steadily since November. According to the Project for Excellence in Journalism, the amount of coverage in March was so low that it was equivalent to no coverage at all.
The lull in activity has been attributed to the fact that many protestors have been busy defending themselves in court thanks to large scale arrests of protestors in many cities.
At the same time the movement has increasingly focused on organizing and adjusting its tactics as it builds a base for more publicly visible actions in the spring and summer.
According to Democracy Now!, Occupy Wall Street activists are continuing to stage protests in New York. Demonstrators converged on the New York Stock Exchange on March 30th and marched across the Brooklyn Bridge on April 1 to mark six months since similar protests led to the arrests of hundreds of demonstrators. The Occupy movement is planning more demonstrations in April and a major day of action is planned for May 1.
In Boise the occupy movement has maintained a presence throughout the winter and Occupy Boise plans to host a free activism and civil disobediance workshop with trainer Bill Chisholm on April 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Occupy vigil site (6th and Jefferson in Boise).

The Occupy Movement: Rising Anarchy
April 03, 2012
By: Ian Oxnevad
The Occupy movement presents a challenge to police and policymakers both in the United States and abroad. Occupy, the now-worldwide movement spawned by Occupy Wall Street, serves as a 21st century anarchist movement the likes of which has not been seen since WWI.
So far, Occupy protests in the United States exhibit a mostly peaceful nature. However, certain elements within Occupy that have been seen both here and abroad have the potential to inflict major damage to governments, people and the private sector. If not carefully monitored and mitigated, these elements pose a significant threat to modern democracies.
Modern anarchism traces back to mid-19th century leftist groups in Europe. Anarchists differ from Marxists in that Marxists believe the state must be seized and then used as a tool to achieve a “free” society. Conversely, anarchists believe that the “system,” including the state, must be dismantled entirely. After a complete systemic collapse, anarchists believe that a just and free society will organically emerge out of the chaos.
Immediately after it’s formation as an ideology, historical anarchists targeted a number of individuals and organizations both in the Americas and Europe. Anarchist tactics included the assassination of government officials, bombing police stations, public venues, mob violence and poisonings.
The most significant anarchist attack occurred in 1914 when the anarchist group, the Black Hand, murdered Archduke Ferdinand of the Austrian Empire. This attack sparked WWI, causing millions of deaths. In today’s politically unstable environment around the world, anarchist groups have the potential to cause a chain of events leading to similar carnage.
Today’s Occupy, with Occupy Wall Street as the informal flagship of the overall movement, has its intellectual origins in small groups of left-leaning academics and publications. Economically inspired protests around the world brought together a number of professors and other academics that hold an anarchist philosophy. In late 2011, a number of anarchist intellectuals and academics from the fields of sociology and anthropology joined the pre-existing protest movements from 2010.
Prior to the arrival of the anarchist academics, the global protests often had specific demands, revolved around single issues and targeted specific businesses and government agencies. Upon getting involved in the protests movements, academics and theorists began breathing anarchist philosophy into the protests and moving them towards a less specific leftist phenomenon.
Occupy Wall Street, while not the leadership group of the global Occupy movement, came into being through a caballing together of anarchist thinkers. Many of the Anarchist academics that now dominate the character of the Occupy movement also enjoy support from a number of left-leaning publications and magazines. Since the economic crash of 2008, many Leftist and Marxist periodicals began to call for action against banks, mortgage firms and governments.
But rather than propose economically practical solutions, these leftist publications catered to the most extreme fringe elements. These publications, combined with active involvement from anarchist academics, provided the perfect storm for creating the current Occupy movement.
Occupy’s decision-making revolves around the idea of “consensus” as a way of determining what direction the movement should take. Consensus is reached through “general assembly” meetings where there is no official leadership, and rather follows a “horizontal” model as opposed to a “vertical model.” These general assembly meetings determine what actions the specific Occupy movement will take, and include decisions such as when and where marches will occur, and what business or government entity will be targeted.
So far, most Occupy protests have been peaceful, despite taking a heavy financial toll on the cities where they occur. However, many Occupy groups have violent sub-groups within them that are responsible for most of the violence that has happened. These violent sub-groups are called the “Black Bloc.” The Black Bloc originated as a tactic used by anarchist groups in Germany in the early 1980s. Black Bloc members can usually be identified by the way they obscure their faces and the all-black clothing they wear.
Serving as the violent DNA inside an otherwise peaceful modern movement, the Black Bloc represents the same violent anarchist ideology that triggered WWI. Black Bloc groups inside Occupy have caused significant damage in cities in Europe.
Greece, for example, which is struggling with crushing debt and a 25 percent unemployment rate, has seen significant violence from Black Bloc members. So far, Greek Black Bloc members have destroyed roughly 100 buildings through arson attacks and have confronted police with sophisticated unit-level tactics involving homemade shields, clubs, molotovs, rocks and the occasional low-grade improvised explosive device (IED).
Greece serves as an interesting example in that their Greek counterparts may have actually trained violent Black Bloc members in Italy, thus spreading the violence.
The Internet also has allowed for the sharing of ideas among the Occupy groups, and the Black Bloc inside them. Black Bloc members in Occupy Oakland have demonstrated some of the same sophisticated violence against the police that their counterparts used against law enforcement in Greece and Rome.
Organized use of shields, unit tactics and molotovs have allowed the Black Bloc in Oakland to cause considerable damage to Oakland, and serious injuries to officers in the Oakland Police Department (OPD).
What is most disturbing is that members from Occupy Oakland have photographed OPD officers, and compiled enough information on the officers to cause cyberattacks targeting the officers.
[Editor’s note: For more on anarchist cyberattacks against law enforcement, see the Homeland Security Today report, Cyberattacks Pose Threat to Law Enforcement Intelligence, Operations and Personnel]
In conclusion, Occupy as a movement poses a number of challenges to law enforcement, local governments and the democratic system as a whole. New approaches to confronting the violent elements inside Occupy are needed if the Black Bloc is to be prevented from radicalizing the rest of the movement.
Approaches more often used by intelligence agencies are needed to confront this threat. The creative use of intelligence officers, either developed internally or borrowed from the private sector, can afford police agencies the speed, knowledge and agility needed to counter these emerging threats and the chaos that they promote.

(ThyBlackMan.com) Beyonce Knowles is back in the saddle. Unless you’ve been under a rock you know of Beyoncé’s recent birth to her baby daughter Blue Ivy. I am sure you are aware of all of the drama that has come along with it. Beyoncé is a woman that stays in the spotlight rather she wants it or not.
From the rumors of a fake pregnancy to the mystery surrounding her child’s name and its ties to the Illuminati, Beyoncé seems to stay on the minds of her fans and enemies alike.
Beyonce Knowles is constantly in the news and for good reason. Beyonce is a woman on a mission and like many working mothers she is a busy woman. Beyonce wears a number of hats. In addition to being a mommy she is a mega business woman, actress, an international recording artist, a model and a style fashionista.
With all of that going on and raising her new born baby girl she will soon return to performing. Beyonce has an upcoming live show set for this summer on May 25, 26 and 27. During the Memorial Day weekend she will have her Summer Kickoff Party and concert at the Revel Resorts. The Revel Resorts a new beachfront located in Atlantic City, NJ will present various musical artists. Beyoncé and Maroon 5 are just to name a few.
Not only does Beyonce Knowles have her singing and acting career to keep her busy she is also running a number of business ventures. Beyonce’s L’Oreal ad spots and her fragrances Pulse, Pulse Summer Edition, Heat and Heat Rush all add up to the sweet smell of success.
As any business savvy woman Beyonce is keeping it in the family. Beyoncé and her mother Tina Knowles have launched their spring and summer 2012 collection from the House of Deréon. Of course with the birth of baby Blue Ivy she will probably go into the baby bump business designing maternity wear and a line of baby clothes most likely under the House of Deréon.
Beyonce has trademarked her first name and now she and hubby Jay Z are seeking to trademark their daughter’s name Baby Blue Ivy. They however have run into a glitch with that endeavor. It turns out that a boutique named Blue Ivy, located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin already uses the name. Maybe they’ll pay them a cool million or two to gain full rights to the already iconic symbol tied to the name Blue Ivy. If it’s worth it to them they should have no problem shelling out that kind of dough. From a business mindset one can understand why.
Even though Beyonce appears to be a happy new mom, at one time she admitted that she was not ready for children. According to The Look Beyoncé said her wait to have children had much to do with her career ambitions. “It was important to me that I give myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my self-worth, before I became a mother,” she told Harper’s Bazaar. “Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.”
Well regardless of what folks have to say Beyonce is doing Beyoncé. When she announced her pregnancy some folks said her marketability would decrease and her popularity would drop. Well once again she has proven the naysayers wrong. She has a life that some people only dream of.
According to Forbes, Beyoncé’s earnings topped in at $35,000.000.00 as of August 2011, If I say so myself that’s not bad for a sista supposedly losing marketability. Regardless of all of the drama that comes with stardom Beyonce is on fire and sitting on an empire. She is also showing everyone that black girls really do rock and that we can have it all.

Alex Jones, the conspiracy theory nut and founder of Infowars, begins a recent broadcast by claiming Ridley Scott’s latest science fiction film, “Prometheus,” amounts to leaked evidence of “a revelation of the method revealing the deepest secrets of the Illuminati mystery religion.” For the unitiated, the Illuminati, of course, control the course of Earth and civilization and its nearly seven billion inhabitants.
“I have been able to secure a copy of an early script [of 'Prometheus'],” says Jones. “In synopsis, this is a film about the origins of humankind with a super race of near immortal genetic engineers who are contemplating a genetic override or rewrite of the planet Earth when meddling humans stumble in to the magician’s laboratory they are punished for their trespass.”
There is no doubt that Scott’s film, which explores the idea of alien terraforming on Earth, is imaginative material; but it also happens to travel in the slipstream, so to speak, of the unified conspiracy theory wherein all other theories are reduced to an alien plan.
As noted on the video:
The secret is that the elite believe they are attaining godhood and are destined for the stars. Their ancient and occultic views are reflected in the dark themes of Prometheus, the very name of which hints at the quest for eternity and power among a group who think a divine right bestowed by a higher intelligence gives creedence to their meddling with the affairs of common man.
One must marvel at Jones’s claim to have secured an early draft of “Prometheus,” and then have a little giggle imagining how he interprets it as evidence of a vast, planetary conspiracy. Either way, it’s good business for Alex Jones, who seems to have perfected the art of charlatanism advanced most often by conservatives who will say anything to make money, though their private beliefs are likely a bit more tame.
Anyway, it’s great fun to hear Jones extemporize on “Prometheus” as an unintended leak of the Illuminati’s deepest secrets. If nothing else, Jones is a great entertainer.
The information of the Illuminati has never been new to me. After the first half of Tom Hanks’ Angels and Demons, I had a nightmarish perception of the Illuminati as
blood hungry and serial-killer-like dark, hooded indivdivuals.
Timothy Christian students have always been able to openly discuss a wide plethora of topics inside and outside of the classroom. Tackling current topics, from the
Kony2012 campaign to analysis of the Hunger Games, we are able to process all the information streaming through our lives together as a class.
Recently, there’s been a deeper topic discussed in TCS classrooms. Juniors and seniors in the AP Language class were introduced to the Illuminati and New World Order
through Ashley Sullivan, a junior, presenting her research for a current event. Since then, several upperclassmen have picked the Illuminati and New World Order as their topics for CAR times and also research papers.
Brandon Mcdougal, a junior, explains why he chose this topic, “Because I heard about it a couple years ago and was immediately hooked. So I did research on it and I always wanted to write a paper on it because I find it very interesting and something people should
Josh Huntington, a senior, researched for CAR time on the New World Order.
While Huntington believes that, “The New World Order has been talked about since times as early as George Washington.” However, “about half the stuff found seems highly unrealistic.”
Both Huntington and Mcdougal agree that this information will aid them in having more discretion when dealing with media messages. Huntington quotes, “I think that probably the biggest lesson/ life application that I got out of this is that the government is only human and that that means they are prone to failure. This caused me to realize how much we need to think and pray before we believe what the media puts forward.”
McDougal also wants to investigate politics and be more aware of what he’s receiving.
Huntington summarizes his thoughts from his research, “I think that God wants us to look into and research the things that the government tells us. To see how they align with His Scripture and for us to consult Him through prayer. This project definitely taught that, if nothing else.”
